May 25, 2011 - The Bangsamoro Development Agency once again expressed its heartfelt gratitude for the unswerving support it gets from its major partners in a message delivered during the recently concluded 6th implementation support mission.

During a wrap-up meeting held recently at Estosan Garden Hotel in Cotabato City, BDA Vice-Chairman Dr. Rizaldy L. Piang heartily conveyed the Agency’s gratefulness for the untiring efforts which BDA partners continuously provide as part of their commitment to the Mindanao peace process. Present during the wrap up meeting were delegates from the World Bank headed by Matthew Stephens as well as representatives from the European Union, International Monitoring Team, Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, Community and Family Services International, Mindanao Land Foundation, Inc.

“For BDA, this is another milestone that we can still feel your genuine will to support us in the process of uplifting the dismal situation of our communities, said Dr. Piang.

He further thanked the CFSI and Minland which serve both as Trust Fund Recipients in this 3rd Program Partnership Agreement (PPA3) of the Mindanao Trust Fund – Reconstruction and Development Program (MTF-RDP) for their willingness to undergo suffering along the way to help capacitate BDA and get all the necessary support and assistance in the project implementation. He also recognized the support provided by the World Bank being the fund administrator in the course of the project implementation and the European Union (EU) as one the major donors in the MTF.
IMT and OPAPP are likewise mentioned for their active role in the ISM conduct aiding BDA to achieve maximum result in the process.

With that, we assure you of our commitment to do our part in carrying out what we are expected to deliver, Dr. Piang noted adding that BDA is energized by the partners’ showing of commitment to the quest for peace and development in Mindanao.

Overall, the ISM yields positive forward looking inputs which all the present partners are willing to wait for, he concluded.
