May 19, 2012 News: Former and current peace negotiators of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) will hold an informal conference today in Davao City with the theme: “Sharing of Experiences and How to Move Forward”.

The Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HDC), a member of the International Contact Group of the GPH-MILF Peace Talks, assisted the two parties in making the meeting succeed, after several attempts because of conflicting schedules of the two parties.
David Gorman, mediation advisor of the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue (HDC).agreed to help make this meeting possible after he had conferred with negotiators of the MNLF and the MILF.
Gorman was in Cotabato City Wednesday, May 16, to accompany a Canadian former deputy Minister, Honorable George Anderson, in talks with leaders of the MILF in Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.
Anderson, an expert on federalism especially on wealth-sharing, shared his expertise with the MILF leaders for several hours. In the evening, he had a dinner in Cotabato City with some specially invited guests.
