July 19, 2012: The peace panels of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GPH) have expressed satisfaction over their “modest” breakthrough during their July 16-18 peace talks in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur particularly on the discussion of the mechanism in the creation of the transition commission for the establishment of a provisional government.

This as the Parties hoped to conclude a negotiated peace settlement for the armed conflict and the Bangsamoro question before the end of 2012 as they concluded the 29th exploratory peace talks late afternoon yesterday.

MILF peace panel, after emerging from the three (3) day meeting, told Luwaran website that both sides have managed to hurdle the ticklish issues on the mechanism of the transition commission after a long and difficult bargaining on its various nuances and implications.
