January 30, 2012 News: Monday,  January 28, 2013 was the 15th day of the continuous peace rally in the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Kabacan, Cotabato staged by the students, faculty, non-teaching staff and officials, parents,  farmers, business  sector, religious and youths. They identified themselves under the  “USM Multi-stakeholders  Movement for Truth and Justice seeking administrative reforms in the University by demanding for the replacement of  the newly reappointed President Jesus Antonio G. Derije.

January 29, 2013 News: The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) has congratulated the Geneva Call (GC) for landing one of the world’s top 100 non-government organizations (NGOs). This is the second year that GC has been given this category by the Global Journal’s Top 100 best non-government organizations.

January 26, 2013 News: The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD), a Moro non-government organization in Mindanao, Philippines, sent its National Deputy Secretary – General for Administration, Dats Magon, to present a topic on ‘Bangsamro Right to Self Determination and Peace Building in Mindanao’ to the 2nd Burma Regional Youths and Students Exchange Program organized by the Students and Youth Congress of Burma on January 19 – 21, 2013 held at the border of Thailand and Burma.

January 25, 2013 News:A public hearing was conducted last January 16 by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 10 (DENR-10) at the Provincial Capitol, Marawi City for the inclusion of Lake Lanao as a protected watershed area under the National Integrated Protected Area System Act (NIPAS Act) or otherwise known as Republic Act 7586 was opposed. .Affirmation by a majority of the stakeholders present will pave the way for the inclusion of Lake Lanao under the control and supervision of the national government.
