Japan reaffirms commitment to support peace process

July 6, 2010 – The government of Japan recently renewed its strong commitment to help the peace process in Mindanao.

Osamu Fujimura, Japan State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Osamu Fujimura, reiterated the commitment during his Call on President Benigno Simeon Aquino III in Malacanang few days ago. Tokyo Gov. Shintaro Ishihara joined Fujimura during the meeting with President Aquino.

As quoted in Japanese newspaper, Manila Shimbun, “Fujimura (also) renewed the Japanese commitment to supporting and contributing to the Mindanao Peace Process.”
