MARUGONG, Lanao Del Sur------AHJAG, UBJP AND MWAGG held advocacy on Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) in this town on December 29, 2018.
Butch Malang, Chairman of CCCH-MILF said that this is the time for the Bangsamoro people to unite so that the yes vote for Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) wins during the plebiscite on January 21,2018.
“To achieve real peace in Mindanao, there is a need for solidarity among Muslims, Christians and indigenous peoples and ratify the BOL during the plebiscite,” Malang added.
Malang emphasized that BOL is not an ordinary law. It is the result of decades of negotiations between the Government of the Philippines (GPH) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
“Prof. Esmail A. Abdula, Chairman Campaign and Mass Mobilization Sub- Committee on Information, Central Committee, Moro Islamic Liberation Front, (CMM-MILF), said in his message that during the past decades the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces, (BIAF-MILF) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) fought bloody battles resulting to lose of lives and properties. Now both are partners in seeking peace, justice and development for the Bangsamoro.
“Once BOL is ratified and the yes vote wins, In shaa Allah, the dream of every Bangsamoro for long lasting peace in Mindanao region shall become a reality, not just a dream,” Abdula also said.
Abdula told the audience that the 17 years of peace negotiations resulted to the signing of Framework Agreement on Bangsamoro (FAB) in 2012, and the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) in 2014.
As embodied in both agreements, the Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) shall craft the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), which when passed by congress was renamed as the Organic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BRAMM), or in short the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL).

1st LT. Allan S. Marquez ‘’A’’ Coy of the Philippine Army expressed his support to BOL saying unity among the people is very important to achieve genuine peace and development in Mindanao Region.
Anwar Alamada, Head AHJAG-MILF said that the BOL signed by President Duterte is a step forward to achieve the prime objective of Bangsamoro People to right to self-determination.
Alamada reminded the participant to be vigilant during the plebiscite, remain on guard in the polling precincts to ensure the victory of the yes vote.
Alamada underscored that the Moro grievances, the oppression and injustices they have suffered shall be addressed once the Bangsamoro Region is fully in place.
