UBJP SouthMin holds first convention, revisits mandates and objectives

The United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) Southern Mindanao (SouthMin) held its first convention on Saturday (April 20) at the gymnasium of Mindanao State University- General Santos participated by more than 2,500 members from the Socsksargen area Sultan Kudarat, and Tacurong Citry.

The purpose of the activity was to revisit the mandate and objectives of the party. Organized in 2014, the party seeks to be an organization that is not active only during the election campaign period but to continue working for the welfare of its party members and the Bangsamoro communities.

UBJP Vice-President for SouthMin Mohagher Iqbal, concurrently the Minister on Basic, Higher, and Technical Education of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindana (BARMM) delivered his keynote speech.

It was also emphasized in the convention that the party does not endorse political candidates, however it does not discourage its members to vote those who they heartily choose preferably those who supported the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) and has commitment to further support the development of Bangsamoro communities within and outside BARMM.

The gathering was supported by AKMA-PTM partylist which represents the irrigators in the country. Mike Kida delivered gave an inspirational message.


Dr. Zulkarneyn Abas, member of the BARMM Parliament, also graced the affair. There was also updating from the UBJP regional staff.
