UNYPAD continues to capacitate its chapters in the Bangsamoro community

COTABATO CITY- The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) continuously capacitate its officers and members in different chapters nationwide to become productive citizen of the country. 

The North Cotabato Cluster-2 Provincial Chapter have convened for annual planning workshop in order to smoothly implement within their area the organization’s programs and services for the year 2020.

The annual plan aims to strengthen the UNYPAD activities in the Bangsamoro communities living inside and outside the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Provincial Chairman Hamsa Landayan said the workshop was attended by Aleosan, Pagalungan, Pikit and Datu Montawal municipal chapters with the guiding direction of Datuan Magon, Deputy Secretary General. 

Vice Chairman for External Affairs Badrodin Mamendig said the planning focused on two major programs which are organizing and capacity building. 

Meantime, the Vice-President for Internal Affairs Tu Alid Alfonso said, “The forthcoming activity of UNYPAD is the general meeting to be conducted in Metro Manila this coming December 4, 2019.” 

Tu said that on November 28, there was a general meeting called for the Davao Oriental Provincial Chapter led by Provincial Chairman Jake Sabello with the presence of Gabriel Palma, the Regional Coordinator for Davao Region and also graced by Jonathan Macala, UNYPAD Presidential Assistant for International Affairs.

The meeting was purposely done for sharing updates on the status of every province and also to strengthen camaraderie among officers and members of the UNYPAD and the community.

Rashid Midsapak, the Regional Coordinator for Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, GenSan and Saranggani reported that they helped fire victims in Isulan and the quake victims is Makilala and Tulunan through the donations collected from his friends residing abroad and the UNYPAD partners like the Generation Peace Network (GenPeace).

The Provincial Chapters in Lanao del Sur including Marawi City has also organized an orientation for new members held at UNYPAD-Ranao office in Marawi facilitated by Ansary Diamaoden, the Vice President for External Affairs.

Last September, Tu said that the officers of newly-organized UNYPAD Chapter in Wao Lanao del Sur took their oath to the UNYPAD leadership. 

Thereafter, they have also conducted  Leadership, Community Organizing, with Handling and Procedures of Meeting Workshop.””

Phix Samsaraji, Western Mindanao Regional Coordinator also conveyed that they conducted series of community activity for officers and members of the UNYPAD in Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Basilan and Zamboanga City.

The UNYPAD is a non-profit Bangsamoro youth organization that helps empower the youth and render peace and development services in the less-privileged community with the assistance of partner donors.
