MILF assist MSSD-BARMM during relief operations in Tawi-Tawi’s island villages

TANDUBAS TAWI-TAWI- Responding to the urgent call through the principle of shared responsibility and spirit of volunteerism for common good particularly during trying times, some members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Tandubas, Tawi-Tawi served as front liners in the distribution of relief goods by the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD-BARMM) in the light of the enhanced community quarantine due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 
The MILF organic members and line agencies also participated in repacking of relief goods by the MSSD-BARMM in Tandubas Municipality headed by MSSD Official Mrs. Merry Sabbaha. 

The food packs were distributed to the remote and most vulnerable families in remote villages who are mostly fisherfolks, and seaweed farmers that suffered most from the socio-economic impact brought by COVID-19 Pandemic.

The MILF members in Tawi-Tawi are imbued with Islamic values and principles negating the practice of wait and see attitude but always in the mode of participative to the urgent call of the community when needed during this crucial time. 

Meanwhile, to ease peoples’ hardships during the ECQ, relief goods were also distributed by Tandubas municipal government, and barangay officials with some philanthropic individuals who also shared their blessings to ease the impact of COVID-19 Pandemic.
