BARMM-MOST calls on qualified incoming first year students to apply for scholarship offered by the ministry

The applicants can visit MOST website at http://most.bangsamoro.gov.ph or they can personally visit their office at BARMM Government Center, Cotabato City or any MOST Provincial Offices in the provinces under Bangsamoro Government. The deadline for filling of application is on July 27 this year, and the date of examination is scheduled on August 22, 2020.
MOST Minister and Member of Parliament Engineer Aida Silongan said that there will be at least 126 students who will benefit from the BASE program with 8K Pesos allowance to those who may qualify for the said scholarship.
The MOST-BARMM will also help schools in the standardization of the Science and Technology education through capacity building for teachers and upgrading of science laboratories.
During the launching of BASE program on July 1 at Cotabato City, Minister Silongan at Minister Mohagher Iqbal of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for partnership in the implementation of the program.
Iqbal said that education is the Bangsamoro Government’s first priority which have a big pie in budget allocation in the BARMM.
Iqbal told also that MBHTE has grant scholarship for 1400 poor but deserving students in the Bangsamoro.
Executive Assistant Dr. Salem Y. Lingasa witnessed the signing of MOU representing BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim.
The BASE Program aims to stimulate and entice talented Bangsamoro youths to pursue lifetime productive careers in science and technology and ensure a steady, adequate supply of qualified science and technology human resources which can steer the country towards national progress.
