Sugoda Buayan Kadatuan conducts oath-taking ceremony

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (April 8, 2021) -- The Sugoda Buayan Royal House Kadatuan Descendants Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (SBRHKDOP) conducted yesterday the oath-taking ceremony of its newly-installed set of Board of Trustees (BOT) where they pledged to be more active in rendering services to the Muslim communities in need.
The activity followed after the organization was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as non-profit organization.

The BOT members, chaired by Datu Abdulhamid Ingkong, Rajah Muda sa Sugoda Buayan, committed to abide by the laws of the organization and initiate responsive projects and activities the best of their ability.

“Leaders should be more visible to its constituency and act upon whatever concerns that may arise,” Ingkong said. He underscored that leaders are more appreciated when seen being hands-on in their activities.

In his message, City Mayor Ronnel Rivera, expressed appreciation to the peace advocacy activities of the Royal House in the past years that contributed to the relatively peaceful condition of town.

“We look forward that you will continuously be partner of the city government in peace and development initiatives,” he said.

Col. Datu Hasbi Jamalul of Task Force Gensan, congratulated the Kadatuan officers and expressed its support to the group.

Dr. Janena Tito, Bai Labi sa Sugoda Buayan, urged the officers and members of the Royal House to be more active in giving services to their respective communities.

She also urged the organization to strengthen partnership with the local government units and other institution in embarking on projects and activities.

Kagawad Jonathan Blando, the Committee Chairman on Muslim Affairs of the city council, said they will support the initiatives of the Royal House for its constituents.

Aside from peace advocacy focusing on unifying the Tri-People of the city, Sugoda Buayan Royal House has been involved in various charitable activities.

It has reached out the fire victims of Purok Islam in Barangay Dadiangas South, earthquake victims in Cotabato province and communities affected by natural calamity in Palimbang providing them with relief assistance both food and non-food items.

The relief good were provided by the members of Kadatuan of Sugoda Buayan Royal House.
The BOT has planned to undertake strategic planning after the month of Ramadhan.
