Bangsamoro from North Cotabato attend International Peace Summit

Bangsamoro from all walks of life  patiently stay under the scorching heat of the sun just to show their deep support in achieving genuine peace in the Bangsamoro homeland.

An estimated total of One thousand three hundred fifty Bangsamoro men and women attended during the International Peace Summit hosted by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) held on January 24, 2016 at Camp Darapanan, Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, Philippines.

Participants from North Cotabato who were members of the Provincial Political Committee, members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces, traditional and religious leaders, SWC, Women and youth Sectors represented its eight municipalities. The group’s convoy was spearheaded by the Vice-Chairman for MILF-Political Committee of North Cotabato.

Despite the scorching heat of the sun, the participants patiently witnessed the whole-day program which was graced by the Chairman of the Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) Man Hee Lee from South Korea and the Chairwoman of the International Women Peace Group Nam Hee Kim.

The said event unveiled the historical peace monument which signifies the end of oppression and the reign of genuine peace in the Bangsamoro Homeland.

Five members of North Cotabato Information Committee also served as members of the documentation committee.

The said activity became very meaningful as it is the first time ever in the history of the Bangsamoro to host an international event in its present biggest camp.
