About 50K join UBJP’s assembly in Sulu

Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao Del Norte— The MILF’s United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) holds Sunday, it’s first sortie in the province of Sulu that draws about 50Thousands residents from various municipalities of the island province. The gathering is in preparation for the first parliamentary elections in the autonomous region next year.
The activity was held at the campus of the Notre Dame of Jolo College.

Leading the largest assembly of UBJP in Sulu were Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim of BARMM, who is also president of the MILF’s United Bangsamoro Justice Party, and senior officials and members of the bloc from across Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi

The MILF’s UBJP party has been registered with the Commission on Elections as a regional political party, to pit favored bets for the 80 seats in the regional parliament during the 2025 elections, a Philstar report said Sunday.

Members of the Philippine National Police and the AFP provided support for the activity.
