Holy Trinity College in Gensan Establishes Prayer Area for Muslim Students

In a post on their Facebook page, the HTC Muslim Students Association expressed gratitude to the school administration for creating this dedicated prayer room. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to the administrators for their support in securing this space. This Musallah now stands as a beacon for our Muslim brothers and sisters, allowing everyone to fulfill their daily prayers with ease while pursuing their studies,” the post stated.
The association emphasized the significance of prayer in Islam, quoting the Qur’an: “Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.” (Qur'an 4:103).
Holy Trinity College is one of the private tertiary institutions in General Santos City adhering to City Ordinance No. 19, Series of 2022, which mandates public buildings, hospitals, and colleges to provide Musallah facilities for Muslim patrons.
The City Mayor’s Office Integrated Cultural Communities Affairs Division, responsible for monitoring compliance with the Musallah ordinance, oversees the implementation in various establishments throughout the city.
