IMT CONDUCTED MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAM
On Sunday February 5th 2017, International Monitoring Team or IMT-led by Malaysia, has conducted medical outreach program at Camp Raja Muda, Eastern Mindanao Front, BIAF-MILF in Brgy Raja Muda, Pikit North Cotabato. The medical mission was held to deliver the necessary medical services to the people in this area including children and adult, and at the same time to build confidence-building measures on the on ongoing peace process. In this mission, IMT has cooperation with Department of Health-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DOH-ARMM) as well as with Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA).
There were about hundreds patients who have been seen with multiple complaints and problems such as digestive disorder, headache, fever, asthma, body pains and other common ailments, as well as medical checkup for blood pressure, glucose and simple treatment and consultation. The IMT and DOH-ARMM brought the medical supplies and distributed them in this medical program. On this occasion also attended the Head of Mission of IMT-11 Major General Datuk Wira Zamrose bin Mohd Zain and also the Commander of MILF Eastern Mindanao Front, Alhaj Amirudin Jack Abas. This coincides with the Exit Call Program of IMT 11 to the MILF Eastern Mindanao Front.
The IMT is composed of contingents from Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Japan, Norwegian and European Union. They are tasked to monitor the ongoing peace process between the Government of Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front under the facilitation of Malaysian Government.
