The Bangsamoro Ramadhan Trade Fair (BRTF) this year held across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has successfully generated ?26,737,864 in total sales, underscoring the region’s growing economic activity. This was shared in a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism (MTIT).

According to the sales report from the Bureau of Trade and Industry - Enterprise and Trade Development (BTI-ETD) Division of MTIT, the trade fair held at the Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City alone accounted for ?16.6 million in sales. Other provinces also saw significant contributions, with Tawi-Tawi earning ?5.9 million, Basilan ?2.1 million, Sulu ?1.2 million, and Lanao del Sur bringing in ?717,000.

The month-long trade fair featured a diverse range of products and food offerings from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the region, showcasing the rich culture and entrepreneurial talent of the Bangsamoro people.

The event concluded with an Awarding Ceremony to honor the outstanding exhibitors. Kingdom Fries, Haniya’s Food Products, Sedap, and Vermecelli Catering Services were recognized as the Most Promising MSMEs/Entrepreneurs. Additionally, Samra Maguindeli, Realuxe Cafe, MK Catering Services, and Ina Sitti Catering Services received awards for having the Best Dressed Booths.

The success of the BRTF emphasizes the significant role of local businesses in driving the region’s economic development and the resilient entrepreneurial spirit of the Bangsamoro people.
