YoSoPP distributes food packs for ‘iftar’ in orphanages, other institutions a week before end of Ramadan

The Youth Solidarity for Peace and Progress (YoSoPP) distributed food packs for ‘iftar’ in various institutions and orphanages in Cotabato City and Sultan Kudarat a week before Ramadan ended on July 06.

The activities were part of the Ramadhan Program of YoSoPP along with series of symposia conducted on three different areas in Cotabato City.

 The food packs included a packed meal, C2 Green Tea Drink, Mineral Water, and Buko Salad.

The first distribution of about 100 food packs was undertaken at Datu Siang National High School, Cotabato City on July 1, 2016 mostly given to students and teachers. An Islamic Symposium was also held on the same day prior to the ‘iftar’.

Another distribution of food packs for ‘iftar was conducted at Markazul Aytam, Brgy. Gang, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao on July 4, 2016 with one hundred thirty orphans beneficiaries.

Redundant, and Firqah An-Najjar Inc., members of Islamic Unity and Brotherhood (IUD) were also present during the occasion. They also gave school supplies and delivered a Muhadarah to the orphans.

Another sixty food packs sponsored by YOSOPP, Redundant, and Firqah An-Najjar were also delivered at Bangsamoro Holy Qur'an Memorization Center, Lumayon St., Mother Barangay Poblacion, Cotabato City on the same day.

The final Iftar activity of YoSoPP in partnership with Redundant Team was conducted at Markaz Tamayyaz 1, Brgy. Bubong, Cotabato City on the last day of Ramadhan, July 5, 2016. One hundred food packs were distributed to the orphans at the Markaz and those praying in the Musallah.

The Youth Solidarity for Peace and Progress would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the people who made these activities possible through their support. May Allah SWT showers them with more blessings and long lives for them to continue helping their fellow Muslim Ummah, in Shaa Allah (if Allah wills).
