BDA-CenMin celebrates Feast of Eid’lFitr with Bangsamoro Orphans

As part of celebration of the Feast of Eid’lFitr marking the end of Ramadan, the Bangsamoro Development Agency-Central Mindanao (BDA-CenMin) joined with the Bangsamoro orphans in a festive celebration on July 10, 2016 at Moro Orphanage Complex, Tamontaka, Cotabato City. The event was spearheaded by BDA-Central Management Office (CMO) in partnership with the Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH).

The activity aims to highlight and showcase how Islam values orphans along with the Muslim world celebration of Eid’l Fitr.

With the celebration, the Moro orphans felt their existence in this world as not isolated-being or belonging to lower class of people but an inner part of society; the hope of the next generation in nation building in the future.

Dr. Mohammad S. Yacob, BDA Executive Director said, “Allah (SWT) and the Holy Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) as well, give importance to the orphans”.

“Allah gives reward to those who love, protect and take good care of the orphans,” explained Dr. Yacob.

“We, in BDA, cares for you all”, Dr. Yacob emphasized.

Meanwhile, various programs to make the affair more meaningful and merrier to the participants were organized such as adhan (call to prayer), Qur-anic reading, Muhadara or Islamic awareness, Arabic Song and outdoor games such as catching water, handkerchief, volleyball, etc.

The BDA-CenMin empowered by its God-given talents and skills participated in the said activities.

“We can say that this kind of activities relieved our stress, especially when we saw the contentment in the eyes of the Yatim (orphans)”, Abdulrasheed Ambil, BDA-CenMin Manager said.

“They really felt that we gave them importance”, Ambil added.

Moreover, Omer Kesmen, IHH Vice-President expressed gratitude to the BDA family.

“We would like to thank BDA family especially, Dr. Yacob”, Kesmen said.

“BDA is always welcome to visit us here in the orphanage”, he ended.

The orphans, parents, and staff of BDA Central Management Office (CMO) participated in the games to the delight of those who joined and watched the affair.

It was a day full of fulfillment for the children and other participants.
