CBCS to host consultation w/Socsksargen Bangsamoro CSO, sectoral leaders for unity, solidarity

GEN. SANTOS CITY --The Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS) will conduct next Tuesday (Sept 27) a consultation with the Bangsamoro Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and sectoral leaders from South Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat and General Santos City (Socsksargen) to be held at Tboli Hotel in this town.

The aim of the activity is to strengthen unity and solidarity among the Bangsamoro leaders including the CSOs by creating a platform of cooperation that can serve as a venue for consensus building towards a common political peace agenda.

Expected participants will come from the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), members of the royal houses, and religious leaders.

A resource person is invited to tackle the Peace and Development Road Map to the Bangsamoro.

CBCS Chair Guiamel Alim will discuss “The Roadmap to success from CSO Perspective.”

Lawyer Raissa Jajurie will talk about “The Transitional Justice and Reconciliation (TJRC) study and recommendations: an initial victory of the peace process.”

The participants are also expected to convey their views to the plans and efforts of the parties involved in the Bangsamoro peace process.
