Moro youths join South East Asian Leaders Initiative workshop

Three Moro youth leaders join the 75 Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) from the 10 ASEAN Countries in the “Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Generation: Go NGO Workshop” being held in Cebu City from November 16-19, 2016.

The event pooled bright young leaders from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Laos, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam who make a difference from their respective countries.

The three promising young Moro leaders who take part in the workshop are Selahuddin Yu Hashim from Moropreneur, Inc., Anna Tajminah Basman of Taha M. Basman Memorial Islamic Foundation and Nashrudin Piang Kusain from Adat Betad Inc.

Organizers said the activity aims to “advance the professional skills and competencies of young NGO leaders with an aim to grow, scale, and take the organizations they work for, or those they founded, to new heights.”

“The event provides opportunity for the delegates to learn and collaborate to ways to build  capacity, message and impact,” the organizers added.

The discussions were focused on the areas of environment and natural resources management, economic development, civic engagement and education facilitated by a pool of experts.
