Peace Makers grace Hataman’s last “Ulat sa Bayan” as ARMM Governor

Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao– ARMM Regional Governor Mujiv S. Hataman last ‘Ulat sa Bayan” on December 19 was a reunion of sort with former and current peace makers attending, such as MILF Chairman Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, MILF PIP Chair Mohagher Iqbal, BIAF-MILF Chief of Staff Sammy Al Mansoor, and former AFP Chief of Staff, and newly-appointed OPAPP Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr, former OPAPP Sec. Teresita ‘Ging’ Deles, and Senator Bam Aquino, who helped in the passage of BOL in the Senate chamber.

They were joined by Maguindanao Gov. Esmail Mangudadatu, his brother Congressman Dong Mangudadatu of Maguindanao, BTC Commissioner Susana Anayatin, MILF Central Committee Secretary Muhammad Ameen, Army General Arnel Dela Vega, BTC Commissioner Jose Lorena, actor Robin “Abdulaziz’ Padilla, and many others.

In his last address, Hataman pushed for a "yes" vote in next year's plebiscite on the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL), Rappler said in its report.

Hataman also recalled the long road to peace, thanking both former President Benigno Aquino III and President Rodrigo Duterte for their commitment to the Bangsamoro peace process

In the same report by Rappler, Hataman said in Filipino that “The Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) is a victory for peace. It’s peace for Al Barka and the entire Lanao. It’s peace for Shariff Aguak, Pagatin, Mamasapano, and Salibo. It’s peace that will be felt all throughout Cebu, Iloilo, and Metro Manila.”
