PRC commends MSU-Gensan for high passing rate in electrical engineering board exam

The Professionals Regulation Commission (PRC) commended the Mindanao State University-General Santos (Gensan) for its high passing rate in this year’s electrical engineering board examinations.

In a communication letter addressed to the dean of college of engineering, the PRC chairman of the Professional Regulatory Board of Electrical Engineering conveyed its commendation to university.

The commission hailed MSU-Gensan for attaining the rank of third place with 96.43 passing percentage of its examinees in the April 2019 Licensure Examination for Registered Electrical Engineers.

MSU-Gensan also ranked 2nd with 93.10 passing percentage in the Registered Master Electrician Licensure Examination.

In the May 2019 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination administered by PRC, examinee John Francis Pedroso, a graduate of MSU-Gensan, got a rating of 94.60 putting him the top 2 rank.

Pedroso’s record sustained the university’s popularity for being among the schools in the country producing topnotchers in the engineering licensure examinations administered by the PRC.

MSU-Gensan is currently under the leadership of Dr. Anshari P. Ali, the 6th chancellor of the university.

The new mission of the university is, “To provide competent human resources for the development of Southern Mindanao and to help improve the living conditions of Muslims and Indigenous People.”

PRC will award a Certificate of Recognition to MSU-Gensan during the oath-taking ceremonies to be held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila this May 19, 2019.
