MP Ahang distributes rice assistance to Tawi-Tawi vulnerable families

The waves of rice relief assistance had been undertaken by theBangsamoro Regional Government aspart of its calibrating initiative dubbed as “Project Tabang” that objectively tolessen the burden of the Bangsamoro people brought by COVID-19 Pandemic in different areas of the region andother Bangsamoro communities outside the BARMM.
Recently, rice relief distributions were carried out by the Staff of MP Ahangassisted by the members of the Social Welfare Committee (SWC)and Organic Members under Sama Provincial Political Committee of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in the provincereaching out to the most vulnerable sector who were affected by the coronavirus such fisherfolks,and seaweed farmers in far-flung barangays of Sitangkay, Sibutu and other barangays in remote municipalities.
“We are very thankful to BARMM Government, and to MP Ahang for the relief assistance extended to us during this difficult times,” one Seaweed Farmer said.
The residents also stressed that what matters most is not the quantity or quality of rice being given to them,but the truest concern and efforts of the government and other concerned individuals.
Sincelate part of March this year, the BARMM Regional Government through its quick response fund hasprovided various assistance, either financial, medical supplies, rice relief assistance and technical assistance to Local Government Units
(LGUs).
