National, Bangsamoro governments reaffirm commitment to BARMM development at 20th IGRB meeting

The meeting, which focused on critical issues affecting the region, underscored the ongoing dialogue and collaboration between the two governments to drive progress in the region.
Department of Budget and Management Secretary and IGRB Co-chair Amenah Pangandaman emphasized the essential role of the IGRB in preserving the significant gains achieved in the BARMM, highlighting the shared vision of a stable and prosperous BARMM.
Established under the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL), the IGRB serves as a bridge between the two governments, ensuring a unified approach to governance and development in the BARMM. The IGRB facilitates closer coordination and resolves key issues through regular consultations and non-adversarial negotiations.
Notable attendees included BARMM Education Minister and IGRB Co-chair Mohagher Iqbal, Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) Secretary Carlito G. Galvez Jr., and Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo Jr. They were joined by representatives from various National Government Agencies and the Bangsamoro Government, all committed to fostering a unified approach to governance and development in the BARMM.
The IGRB continues to be a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration, ensuring that both governments work together to address challenges and seize opportunities for the benefit of the Bangsamoro people.
