BARMM Chief Minister Ebrahim visits Senator Zubiri amidst calls for election postponement

Amidst ongoing calls to postpone the Bangsamoro Parliament elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim met with Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri on Monday, highlighting the region's progressive development and the government's efforts to uplift the lives of the Bangsamoro people.

The meeting underscored the ongoing momentum of peace and progress in the region, despite recent calls from some Bangsamoro leaders for the postponement of the Parliament elections.

Chief Minister Ebrahim emphasized the positive strides made in the BARMM since its establishment, highlighting the implementation of numerous programs and projects aimed at improving the lives of the Bangsamoro communities.

Ebrahim expressed his gratitude to Senator Zubiri for his continued support in sustaining this momentum of peace and progress.

The visit comes at a crucial time for the BARMM, as discussions around the postponement of the Parliament elections gain traction.  Advocates for postponement argue that more time is needed to solidify the region's governance and infrastructure, allowing for greater stability and development before transitioning to a fully elected government.

However, the Chief Minister's visit and emphasis on the region's progress suggest the BARMM government's commitment to its development goals, regardless of the ongoing debate around election timelines.
