MILF Information Committees in Lanao Provinces strengthen grassroots communication, advocacy network

?MARAWI CITY — Provincial Directors, officers, and secretariat members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Information Committees from Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte gathered here on Friday to assess current operations and reinforce the Front's public information and advocacy mechanisms at the grassroots level.
The meeting provided a crucial platform to address emerging communication challenges, streamline information dissemination, and reinforce the vital role of official channels in ensuring that accurate, timely, and authentic news reaches communities across the Bangsamoro.

?Leading the gathering was MILF Information Committee Chairman Engr. Mohajirin Ali, along with Vice Chairman Dr. Marjanie Macasalong. Joining the leadership were MILF Central Information Committee members Alih Anso and Salahudin "Turkey" Bin Hamza, who actively participated in discussions and offered insights into solidifying the organization's regional information network.

?In his address to the officers, Ali emphasized the crucial role of the Information Committees in carrying out the MILF’s advocacy. He particularly highlighted the need to strengthen public awareness and understanding of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP)—the official political party established by the MILF.

?Ali urged committee members to effectively communicate the party’s vision, principles, and program of governance, while ensuring that local communities remain well-informed on developments surrounding the MILF and the ongoing Bangsamoro peace process.

?He stressed the necessity of sustained dialogue and deep engagement with grassroots communities. He noted that regular interaction with local populations is vital to building trust, addressing community concerns, and making sure the voices of the people are reflected in the Front’s overall information and advocacy agenda.

?The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge from all participants to bolster the MILF Information Committees as a reliable grassroots network—dedicated to promoting truth, proactive community engagement, and lasting peace and development in the Bangsamoro.
