Al Haqq said that they will fight this group until they are immobilized or no longer visible inside MILF controlled areas.

“The area is so vast and they can hide in the forested mountains of Moro communities,” Al Haqq pointed out.

Al Haqq clarified that the MILF field commanders operating in Maguindanao made a dialogue with this group on August 2 at Pusaw, Shariff Saidona Mustapha, asked them to leave the MILF areas, however they refused to negotiate and instead they fired first at the MILF emissary prompted the BIAF to defend themselves and fought back.

In this case, BIAF spokesperson recalled a portion of the fatwah or ruling on violent extremism or terrorism issued by the Darul Iftah, Bangsamoro Mufti Shiek Abu Huraira Udasan that denounces terrorism and violent extremism, and therefore “a must to fight the terrorist,” Al Haqq warned.

On why the BIAF must flush-out Abu Toraifies’ terror group, an MILF-BIAF Commander who requested anonymity said: “This is to free the civilian communities from terror, fear, danger, and possible devastation of their places from the hands of this group…terrorist is the enemy of humankind and their belief is beyond the teachings of Islam.”

On Thursday, the fighting continued in Barangay Tee of Datu Salibo where casualties on Abu Toraifie group had been reported based on traces of blood on the scene of the encounter.

In a related development, the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) has appealed to Esmail Abdulmalik a.k.a Abu Toraifie, the leader of Jamaatul Muhajireen Wal Ansar not to fight against BIAF troops.
