GPH - MILF Peace implementing Panels hold special meeting

COTABATO CITY.  May 13, 2018. The Government of the Philippines (GPH) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Peace Implementing Panels (PIP) held a special meeting at Linden Suites, Ortigas Ave., Pasig City on May 11, 2018.

Both Chairs of the Peace Implementing Panel Usec Nabil Tan (GPH) and Mohagher Iqbal (MILF) were present. 

In the meeting both panels discussed the progress of the implementation of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) and tackled the current status of the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL). 

World Bank Senior Specialist on Violence and Conflict, Marcelo Jorge Fabre made a brief presentation on Normalization process and its relevance to peace agreement.  

Malaysian Facilitators led by Special Adviser Dato Kamarudin bin Mustafa were also present to observe and show their support to the ongoing peace process.
