MILF Condemns 2 blasts in Isulan town

Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao— The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) condemns the spate of bombings in Isulan, Sultn Kudarat Province that killed four people, and scores wounded.
In a text message sent to Luwaran this morning, Mohagher Iqbal, Chair of the MILF Peace Implementing panel describes the two blasts in Isulan town as the handiworks of barbarians. “We condemn these two evil acts that snapped the lives of innocent civilians,”, he said.
“The perpetrators of these heinous acts should be arrested and made to suffer the full force of the law”, Iqbal stressed.
He laments that while the government and the MILF are at the stage of preparing for the ratification of the Bangsamoro organic Law, spoilers of peace are intensifying their acts to derail the dawning of peace in Mindanao.
The improvised bomb blast last night killed an 18-year-old boy and injured seven other people, according to a police report.
It exploded just outside Prince internet café along Valdez Street in Barangay Kalawag 2 at about 7:30 last night.
On August 28, an improvised bomb in Barangay Kalawag 3 killed three people and 36 injured.
The blast happened while local folks are celebrating the Hamungaya Festival.
