OPAPP-MILF JCC holds media forum for media practioners in region 10

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY. September 5, 2018. The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process (OPAPP) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Joint Communication Committee (JCC) conducted a Media Forum dubbed: " Understanding the Bangsamoro Peace Process for Media Practitioners in Region 10, and nearby provinces held today at Kabe 2, Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City on September 5, 2018.

The said activity was attended by at least 30 journalists from the National Union of Journalist of the Philippines, Cagayan de Oro Press Club, Inc., Philippine Information Agency (PIA) and Major TV networks based in the city.

The media forum is the first salvo of the Joint Communication Committee (JCC) in its series of media fora across the country.     

The forum aims to update journalists on the Bangsamoro peace process and to explain to them the salient features of the BOL.      

MILF Peace Implementing Panel Chair Mohagher Iqbal shared the History of the Bangsamoro people and its aspiration.

The Chair of Government Peace Implementing Panel Usec. Nabil A. Tan talked about the Peace and Development agenda of Duterte Administration and presented the updates on the peace process.

After the series of lectures on the Bangsamoro peace process, open forum followed that resulted to a better understanding of the BOL especially for those who are not familiar with the Bangsamoro issue.
