PIKIT, North Cotabato (October 14, 2018) ------ Local leaders of Barangay Gokotan, Pikit, North Cotabato led by Barangay Captain Mustafa P. Aliman gathered here to show and express support to Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL).
Aliman in his message said that BOL once ratified will enhance and fast track the development of communities in the new region.
“We need to support the ratification of the BOL by voting ‘yes’ on plebiscite day, January 21, 2019”, Aliman stressed to the participants.
During the multi-sectoral advocacy on BOL organized by Barangay Gokotan Officials, Aliman said that his constituents need to have deep understanding of the said law considering that his barangay is part of the core territory of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
“The participation of communities in advocating the BOL is very important for people to thoroughly understand the salient features of the law thereby when plebiscite comes, they will not have a second thought in voting yes,” Aliman said.
Aliman expressed his thanks and gratitude to his co-organizers and participants for the realization of his wish to have an advocacy on BOL in his village.
Brigade Commander Abdulmaola Masibpal of the 1st Brigade of 108th Base Command, Eastern Mindanao Front reminded the participants that all registered voters must vote ‘yes’ on plebiscite day.
Masibpal urged the participants that the yes vote wins during plebiscite.
Mautin Pangandigan, PNP Deputy Chief of Pikit North Cotabato Province, said “We need to work together to ensure the winning of the Yes vote during plebiscite.”
Pangandigan added that a victory for the yes vote means peace.
“The PNP unit of Pikit is ready to give its full support to the Bangsamoro”, Pangandigan emphasized.
Professor Esmael A. Abdula, Training Officer of Bangsamoro Leadership and Management Institute (BLMI), said the BOL is the product of long struggle of the Moro people for peace and progress.
Abdula explained the stages of Moro struggle against injustices committed against them since colonial times.
“The BOL will bring about lasting peace in Mindanao”, Abdula added.
“Let us intensify our advocacy for the realization of Bangsamoro Government by voting yes on January 21st next year.”
