Zamboanga del Sur PolCom holds BOL Advocacy

Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur-Naguib Manturino, Chairman of MILF Provincial Political Committee led the YES vote for Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) campaign on January 11, 2019 held at Maahad Dinas, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Mohagher Iqbal, Chairman of the MILFPeace Implementing Panel was the keynote speaker. 

He related the life journey of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) which was hindered by the Mamasapano encounter during the Aquino administration and how it worked and transitioned into Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) with the present Administration. 

"Sincerity.... Madakel e bagilay lun ka madakel e mga doctors, attorneys, teachers, engineers etc", Iqbal said. "There are three things to consider for this law to win; the power sharing, wealth sharing, and parliamentary system of government- attuned to Bangsamoro beliefs and governance system", he said. 

"Malat a kitab a mapia e mananggit lun na masla e magaga nin, malat a kitab a pedo e mananggit lun na pedo bun e magaga nin", he further said.

The campaign was also attended by Commissioner Dra. Susana Anayatin of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission, Atty. Haron Meling, Sheikh Esmail Kalalagan, Preseident of Association for Islamic Development, Shiekh Abdulwahab Pak, Jun Mantawil, member of MILF-Peace Implementing Panel, LGUs, and community members.

"Ang Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) ay ang tamang solusyon sa pinaka matagal nang conflict sa Mindanao", Anayatin said. She gave emphasis on the balanced educational system specifically the madrasah teachers who will be given the chance to upgrade their qualifications. 

“Jurisdiction on security remain under the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP),” Anayatin said. 

"If yes wins on January 21, and February 6 plebiscite, the ARMM will be replaced by BARMM", she said. 

The petition for inclusion of eight (8) Barangays in Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur into the core territory of the Bangsamoro did not prosper because on the question of contiguity.
