7,000 Moros in Tawi-Tawi receive medical services from BARMM-Ministry of Health

Sultan Kudarat, mMguindanao— During the celebration of the 639th Founding Anniversary of Sheikh Karimul Makhdum Mosque in Simunul Island, Tawi-.Tawi on November 7, 2019, the Ministry of Health of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM-MOH) conducted massive medical mission to about 7,000 Moro residents

In a statement, Dr. Saffrulah Dipatuan, BARMM’s Minister of Health, said, “Celebrations like this provide (a) perfect opportunity for us to deliver to thousands of our brothers and sisters medical services through the Tulong Alay sa Bangsamorong Nangangailangan humanitarian program or Tabang , a humanitarian  services of BARMM’s interim Chief Minister Al-Hajj Murad ebrahim.”

Dipatuan led the medical mission where he brought doctors, nurses, and volunteers to the island municipality as part of the celebration of the anniversary of the first mosque built in the country. 

Aside from medical consultation, they also provided circumcisions, dental services, eye screening, and blood sugar testing.

Free medicines were also donated to cure common illnesses and vitamin deficiency within the province.

First aid was also immediately given to the elderly who fainted during the celebration.

In a report by Inquirer.Net Monday, says that the BARMM-MOH has been providing medical services, medicines, and food supplies to the families affected by the 6.6 magnitude earthquake that struck the province of Cotabato last month.
