BARMM Minister Eduard Guerra donates 91 sacks of calamansi for Bangsamoro

GENERAL SANTOS CITY- Minister of Public Works Architect Eduard Guerra of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) donated 91 sacks of calamansi to provide BARMM constituents with food source that is rich in Vitamin C that can help boost their immune system in the battle against the deadly COVID-19.
The local citrus came from Minister Guerra’s farm and was delivered to Bangsamoro Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 Operations Center on Tuesday (April 7).

It will be included in the food packs for distribution in the target communities in the Bangsamoro autonomous region.

BARMM Minister on the Interior and Local Governments, lawyer Naguib Sinarimbo, said it could be substitute to vitamin C supplements that can help boost the immunity of their constituents.

With its increasing demand in the market, calamansi’s price has jumped to ninety pesos per kilo. It’s cost ranged from fifteen to twenty pesos per kilo before the lockdown.

The Bangsamoro government has already provided Emergency Augmentation Fund to LGUs to help them fight the corona virus in their areas.
