Serbisyong Bangsamoro keeps giving aid to families affected by COVID-19 crisis

Cotabato City- The Serbisyong Bangsamoro has been distributing relief supplies to families affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis since the early part of the community quarantine imposed by the national government.
The relief supplies being distributed by the Serbisyong Bangsamoro are golden initiatives of Members of Parliament (MP) Mohagher M. Iqbal and MP Zul Qarneyn M. Abas, MD.

Through their initiatives, the Serbisyong Bangsamoro was able to make appropriate and make immediate response in the form of relief packs and financial assistance to the people affected by COVID-19 that will continue until the pandemic in the locality is over. 

Each relief pack contains 5 kilos of rice and other immediately needed grocery items. 

In an interview with MP Dr. Abas, he said that the humanitarian aid by the Serbisyong Bangsamoro are part of their initiatives with MP Iqbal in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

Based on the record of the Serbisyong Bangsamoro as of April 12, 2020, it has already served over 2,000 affected families in Cotabato City and other barangays in Maguindanao province. To date it is busy preparing to help additional number of affected families also through the initiatives of MP Iqbal and MP Dr. Abas. 

On the other hand, the Serbisyong Bangsamoro expressed its thanks to MP Iqbal and MP Dr. Abas and lauded the Mindanao People’s Care Foundation (MPCFI) and the Bangsamoro Media Production (BMP) as best implementing partners in serving the families affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

“Our best partnership with them developed effective strategies in righteously helping the great number of families under community quarantine while maintaining the social distancing with the recipients,” Serbisyong Bangsamoro said in its Official Statement on April 10, 2020.  

“Deep thanks to the MPCFI for its expertise as best implementing partner in community work that results to the very smooth and fruitful distribution of the ongoing initiatives carried out by the Serbisyong Bangsamoro,” it added.

“Even long before the outbreak of the COVID-19, the MPCFI has been known for its expertise in community service and transparency in project implementation to righteously serve the target beneficiaries,” Serbisyong Bangsamoro further said.   
“Also deep thanks to the BMP for its commitment of untiring partnership through media coverage since the start [preparation] of the initiatives up to the actual distribution and finally to the packaging of documentation,’ Serbisyong Bangsamoro said.

“Although the BMP is a newly emerging media organization, but it evidently shows best quality outputs due to the expertise of its dedicated staff,” Serbisyong Bangsamoro added. 

“With this fruitful partnership, we are expecting more number of affected families to be served, God willing,” Serbisyong Bangsamoro said.
