BARMM Chief Minister Ebrahim leads distribution of relief goods to Gang Orphanage

Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao (August 25, 2020) – Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim led a relief operation for Darul Aytam Orphanage on Monday, August 24 in Gang, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, said a report by the Bureau of Public Information-BARMM.
Food packs containing 12.5 kilos of rice, 20 canned goods, hygiene kits such as soap, alcohol, hand sanitizer, face mask, and vitamins, among others were given to each of the 50 ‘yateem’ (orphans.

“It is the responsibility of the Bangsamoro Government to help those people like you who do not have parents to have you taken-cared of,” CM Ebrahim told the orphans during the relief distribution.

Said operation was spearheaded by the Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG), through its Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READI).

MILG Minister Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo, President of Darul Aytam Sheikh Hassan Maluon, and some members of the Philippine Marines and the Philippine National Police Regional Office-BARMM were also present on Monday’s activity. 

Since the outbreak of COVID-10 Pandemic in early part of this year, some ministries of the BARMM has been distributing relief packs to vulnerable sector of the Moro people, and IP’s inside and outside the core territory, as far as North Cotabato, Zamboanga City, Basilan, among others.
