OPAPP to host webinars on updates on GPH-MILF Peace Process

The conversations will provide the public with the updates from the two parties in the implementation of the peace agreement.
Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity ad Bangsamoro and Al Haj Ebrahim Murad, MILF Chairman and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Chief Minister, will give welcome remarks.
MP Lanang Ali, Majority Floor Leader of the Bangsamoro Parliament, will give updates on the priority legislations of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority.
Atty. Sha Elijah B. Dumama-Alba, Co-Head National Government-Bangsamoro Government Intergovernmental Relations Body Joint Secretariat, will give updates on intergovernmental relations between the Philippine and Bangsamoro governments.
The overview of the security situation in the Bangsamoro will be delivered by BGen Francisco Ariel A. Felicidario III, GPH Co-Chair, Joint Peace and Security Committee.
The chair of the GPH Implementing Panel, USec David B. Diciano will give updates on the security aspect of normalization.
Einar Aas, Chief of Staff of the Independent Decommissioning Body will share updates on the decommissioning of MILF combatant and weapons.
Updates on the socio-economic development program and camp transformation will be given by Ariel C. Hernandez, GPH CO-Chair, Joint Normalization Committee.
MILF Peace Implementing Panel, MP Mohagher Iqbal, will give updates on the transition period of the BARMM.
Engr. Mahajirin Ali, Executive Director of Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority, will provide updates on socio-economic development programs and camp transformation.
The updates on transitional justice and reconciliation will be given by ASec Wilben M. Mayor, GPH Representative – Technical Working Group on Transitional Justice and Reconciliation.
