Online petition urging President Duterte to Certify Bangsamoro Extension Bills as urgent almost reach 1 Million

COTABATO CITY — The call for extension of Bangsamoro transition period urging President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to certify bills filed in the House of Representatives as urgent closed to 1 million supporters based on the latest data tabulated gathered through https://barmm4all2025.com/., The petition has now 941,2330 registrants as of 10:55 PM, Sunday within the period of three weeks of campaigns.
Recently, the Mindanao People Caucus (MPC) spearheaded a press conference along with Civil Society Organizations Movement for Moral Governance (CSO-MMG), Save Sulu Movement and Sentro SOCKSARGEN held at Babo Katip’s Restaurant in Cotabato City, BARMM.

The press conference aims to report the effort of various organizations who supported the online petition urging President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to certify as urgent the Congressional Bills for the Extension of the Transition period.

Atty. Mary Ann Arnado explained the initiatives of their group and mobilize some Catholic Schools like Xavier University, Ateneo De Davao University, and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) like Cotabato City State Polytechnic College and Mindanao State University promised to support the calls. 

Herbert Demos of Sentro SOCKSARGEN shared their effort in mobilizing signature campaign within Sarangani Province where they gathered 10,000 signatures including more than 2,000 in General Santos City. 

Save Sulu Movement headed by Juhan Alihuddin, one of the front-liners during the peace rally in Jolo, Sulu recently  gathered more than 20,000 signatures in Sulu.

CSO Movement for Moral Governance spokesperson, Ammier Dodo said they have a radio program every Thursday night at Voice FM Cotabato, a platform that educate listeners on the importance of extending the BTA transition period. 

Dodo, also a member of United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) said there are volunteers who do the encoding of written petitions gathered from the provinces of North Cotabato, Maguindanao, and Lanao areas who have no access to internet.

Via zoom online speaker Ustadh Abdulhadi Daguit of Metro Manila who organized a peaceful rally last February in front of the House of Representatives in Quezon City said a strong organizing effort in various communities in Manila such as Montalban, Rizal; Taguig City; Quezon City, Pacheco has earned support for the extension of Bangsamoro transition period up to 2025.
