Bangsamoro Youth group supports Vice-President Leni’s presidential bid

COTABATO CITY – The Bangsamoro Youth for Leni (BYL) expressed support to the presidential bid of incumbent Philippine Vice-President Leni Robredo during a public launch and press conference organized by BYL on Monday, February 28, 2022 held at the Covered Court of Kalanganan II, this city.
BYL spokesperson Guihana Balabagan said Leni is their choice for she cares about ordinary people, defends the oppressed, offers free services, and has proven loyalty to service, thus they support her.

He also said that even before she became Vice President, Leni was the first to provide services to the people. 

On the issue of poverty, Balabagan said the lady presidential aspirant not only provides funds but also teaches knowledge.

BYL Secretariat Reyhana Camsa also answered the question of how the current administration will be compared if Leni becomes the president of the country. 

He said that Vice President Robredo will restore the people's trust in the government, address the issue of poverty among the Filipino people, grow businesses in the country for the convenience of the citizens, and develop the Philippine economy.

Former Congressman Tom Villarin attended the event and answered the question of how the Bangsamoro people can ensure the extension of the peace talks in Mindanao. 

Villarin, who was also part of the forging of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL), said Vice President Robredo will address the historical injustices in Mindanao.

He believes that the participation of the Bangsamoro youth is important especially in matters related to peace.

BYL chapters from Cotabato City and provinces of Maguindanao and North Cotabato participated in the public launch. The province of Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, General Santos City, Marawi City and Metro Manila chapters also joined the event through online via Zoom. 

The Bangsamoro Youth for Leni firmly believes that progressive government, peaceful Mindanao and observance of Human Rights is a trait that is not present in other presidential candidates in the country.
