333 indigents in Cotabato City, Maguindanao get P15K cash aid from BARMM

COTABATO CITY – The Office of the Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, through the ‘Project TABANG (Tulong Alay sa Bangsamorong Nangangailangan)’ distributed P15,000 cash aid each to 333 indigent residents of this city and the province of Maguindanao on Tuesday.
Project TABANG Manager Tomanda Antok said the beneficiaries included senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), Arabic teachers (asaateez), and indigenous people (IP).

“The assistance was funded through the Project TABANG’s subcomponent program, ‘PAG-ASA (Pag-akay at Suporta)’ which provides a one-time P15,000 cash assistance to indigent Bangsamoro residents who are at risk of not earning a regular income because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Antok said.

Antok said "this is a small thing but our Chief Minister (Ahod Ebrahim) willingly gives it through the Project TABANG project in line with his commitment to bring the government closer to the people,"

The Project aims to alleviate the drastic effect of the COVID-19 pandemic to residents who are at risk of not earning a regular income.

On May 26, 2022, another batch of indigent residents of Maguindanao received the same amount from the said Project.
