4 barangay health stations inaugurated in Maguindanao del Sur

COTABATO CITY – The Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on Wednesday, Jan. 11, inaugurated four new barangay health stations worth P2.5 million each in Barangay Manindolo, Datu Paglas town; Barangay Muti, Guindulungan town, and in Barangays Kakal and Kapinpilan in Ampatuan town, all of Maguindanao del Sur.
The first two buildings were funded under the BARMM Tiyakap Bangsamoro Kalusugan Program (TBKP) while those of the other two were under the Special Development Fund (SDF).

"Our constituents here in Ampatuan will no longer find it difficult to go to distant RHUs (Rural Health Units) or hospitals as they already have BHS available here to cater to their health care needs. There is someone here who will look after them,” said Dr. Rizaldy Piang, the MOH Minister.

“Each of the barangay health stations come with P500,000 worth of equipment,” Piang said.

MOH Director for Operations Dr. Tato Usman said “the MOH recognizes the valuable efforts of the Bangsamoro government for providing these barangay health stations in the communities.”

“The inauguration of the BHS is a milestone in the realization of endeavors in attaining optimum health and wellness for the Bangsamoro people,” Piang said.

“Napakaganda po nito dahil kumpleto na po ang mga gamit at mayroon na ring mga health personnel na syang mamamahala at magbibigay ng health services sa ating mga residente (This is really nice because it is complete with equipment and there are health personnel who will manage the health stations and provide health services to the residents.),” Usman said.
