Screening of 2nd batch of MILF, MNLF applicants to PNP has started

Cotabato City— Screening of the second batch of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) members endorsed by the Bangsamoro government for inclusion in the Philippine National Police (PNP) recruitment program has started, a Philstar report said today.
In the report, Col. Maria Leonora Camarao, PNP Recruitment and Selection Service director said 246 applicants from the MNLF and 546 from the MILF passed the body mass index (BMI) screening at the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao police headquarters at Camp Salipada Pendatum in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte over the weekend.

The two-day screening process included BMI, physical agility test (PAT) as well and psychological and physical examinations.
On Sept. 10, 183 MNLF members and 465 MILF members passed the PAT.  They underwent psychological and psychiatric tests yesterday and will undergo physical, medical, and dental examinations on Sept. 16, the Philstar report said.

The first batch of 102 MILF and MNLF members took their oath as members of the PNP on Aug. 10. They are undergoing training in preparation for their entry into the police force.
