COTABATO CITY – The Office of Member of Parliament (MP) of Mohagher M. Iqbal, in collaboration with the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), has turned over a covered court with a stage in Brgy. Tuca-Maror in Bongo Island, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, Thursday.
The cost of covered court is Php3,586,006.55, was subsidized under the Transitional Development Impact Fund 2021 by MP Iqbal. Other than the covered court, there are several other projects in the area such as two classrooms funded under the General Appropriation Act of the Bangsamoro 2022 which is at 70% of its construction phase, including school pathways with a distance of 200 meters, and his personal assistance of a small bridge that connects the school to the barangay to prevent another student from having an accident while going to school and returning home.

In his speech, Member of Parliament and Education Minister Iqbal said that their presence in the community is important but also emphasized its symbolic resonance as a tangible result of the Bangsamoro's decade-long struggle for the right to self-determination. He also encouraged everyone to uphold the principle of Moral Governance, emphasizing its true relationship with justice—which every Bangsamoro deserves.
