MBHTE's Project IQBAL equips 41 schools in Upi towns with educational resources

The culmination of the distribution activities took place on August 30, with the MBHTE expressing gratitude to the Upi Local Government Unit (LGU) for their crucial role in facilitating the transportation of supplies. The LGU, led by Mayor Ma. Rona Christina Piang-Flores, ensured the efficient delivery of resources to their intended destinations.
Project IQBAL, a modern initiative spearheaded by Minister Mohagher Iqbal, aims to enhance educational resources and support educators and students in the Bangsamoro region. This latest distribution provided 355 Teacher’s Kits, 7,836 Learner’s Kits, 98 Manipulative Toys, 340 Charts, 340 Flashcards, 55 Toys, and over 400 heavy-duty staplers.
The successful execution of the distribution was made possible through a collaborative effort involving the 57th Infantry Battalion, 6th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army, who provided security, transportation, and manpower support.
Bureau Director of Basic Education Johnny G. Balawag emphasized the project's significance, stating that it represents a major step towards improving the quality of education in the Bangsamoro region.
Through Project IQBAL, the MBHTE continues to invest in the future of Bangsamoro students by providing them with the necessary tools to succeed. This collaborative effort among the MBHTE, the Upi LGU, and the Philippine Army highlights the commitment to improving educational outcomes and supporting the educational community in the region.
