The health ministry in the Bangsamoro region is providing dengue patients free medicines and other provisions needed while confined in government hospitals under its jurisdiction.
MOH-BARMM offers free medical assistance for dengue patients

Dr. Kadil Sinolinding Jr., the MOH minister, revealed the launch of the Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIFIP) program, aimed at providing financial support for dengue patients within government hospitals under its jurisdiction.
“This program represents a collaborative effort among the Ministry of Health, provincial offices, and government hospitals across the autonomous region,” Sinolinding said.
He also highlighted the backing of the BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim in this initiative.
Recent reports from the MOH-BARMM indicate a concerning rise in dengue cases, with 122 infections documented across the provinces and in the component cities of Lamitan, Marawi, and Cotabato.
In response, health personnel are actively engaged in campaigns to educate local communities about protective measures against dengue, focusing on the prevention of mosquito breeding and transmission.
The MAIFIP program aims to alleviate the financial burden on affected families, ensuring that healthcare access is not hindered by economic constraints during this health crisis.
The MOH continues to urge BARMM residents to remain vigilant and informed about dengue prevention strategies.
