Turkish delegation pledges support for Bangsamoro education, offers collaboration on teacher training

COTABATO CITY - A delegation from Turkey, representing various government organizations and institutions, paid a courtesy visit to Minister Mohagher Iqbal of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE)
on September 26, 2024, reaffirming their commitment to supporting educational initiatives in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The visit focused on discussions surrounding the challenges facing educational institutions in the region, particularly the need for qualified teachers and comprehensive training programs.
Iqbal emphasized the urgent need for qualified educators and comprehensive training programs to elevate educational standards in the region.
The Turkish delegates expressed their willingness to assist, particularly in teacher training, by proposing collaborative programs with the Bangsamoro education sector.
This shared commitment to addressing the challenges in teacher training and resource development underscores the potential for impactful collaboration between Turkey and the Bangsamoro region. Both parties are exploring opportunities for partnership to achieve the common goal of elevating education in the region.
