Thousands rally behind MILF-backed candidates in Cotabato City COC filing

The UBJP nominated re-electionist Cotabato City Mayor Bruce Matabalao for the city's highest elective post, with the newcomer Johair Madag as his running mate. The party also fielded 10 candidates for seats in the Sangguniang Panglunsod (City Council): Datu Raiz Sema, Florante Formento, Elboy Midtimbang, Mohamad Mangelen, Anwar Malang, Michael Datumanong, Faidz Edzla, Joven Pangilan, Jonas Mohammad, and Shalimar Candao.
The massive turnout of supporters caused significant traffic congestion on Cotabato City's Sinsuat Avenue, which connects the city proper to the regional capitol. The avenue was filled with people expressing their support for the UBJP candidates.
Organized 10 years ago by the MILF, the UBJP aims to promote lasting peace and sustainable development in the Bangsamoro region through governance, political, and socio-economic interventions. The party's strong showing at the COC filing underscores its growing influence and the people's faith in their vision for the Bangsamoro.
