MBHTE invests in transportation, infrastructure to enhance education peacebuilding in BARMM

On October 9, the MBHTE turned over a unit of van for the Office of the Directorate General for Higher Education (DGHE) and five units for Ministry-Supervised Higher Education Institutions (MSHEIs). The vehicles, each capable of accommodating 15 passengers, will enhance transportation for personnel and students, improving accessibility to educational opportunities. The recipient schools include the Upi Agricultural School, Unda Memorial National Agricultural School, Lanao Agricultural College, Balabagan Trade School, and Bangsamoro Kulliyah for Islamic Studies (formerly REMACADEMY).
In addition to transportation enhancements, the MBHTE has also been actively investing in infrastructure projects. On October 2, a newly constructed covered court with a stage was turned over to Balacayon Elementary School in Pahamuddin town, SGA. The project, funded under the 2023 Trust Development Fund (TDF), amounted to P4,136,099.51.
Furthermore, groundbreaking ceremonies were held for two new Peace Center Buildings, one at Mindanao State University-Sulu in Jolo, Sulu, and another at Cotabato State University in Cotabato City. Both projects, funded under the 2023 TDF, aim to provide spaces for peace negotiation, conflict resolution, and community engagement in conflict-affected areas.
The Peace Center at Mindanao State University-Sulu, with a budget of P4,899,954.84, will encourage an end to violence and address societal issues in the region. The Peace Center at Cotabato State University, costing P4,948,000.00, will promote conflict resolution, peace education, and community engagement, fostering cooperation and unity among different groups.
