COTABATO CITY – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliament member Dr. Kadil Sinolinding Jr. has offered a P200,000 reward for the identification and immediate arrest of the individual who threw a grenade at his office on October 12.

Sinolinding, an ophthalmologist and regional health minister, was not present at his office during the attack, which occurred at 10 p.m. along Moon Street, Barangay Rosary Heights 8.  Closed-circuit television footage captured a motorcycle-riding man stopping in front of the office and tossing a hand grenade before speeding off.  While the explosion caused damage, no one was injured.

 

Sinolinding described the incident as a form of harassment aimed at intimidating him, citing politics and his work as possible motives.  He has instituted significant reforms within the BARMM's Ministry of Health, including the removal of non-performing contract of service workers.

 

"It was not me who will be affected by this attack but the Bangsamoro people I am serving," Sinolinding said, emphasizing his commitment to serving the community despite the attack.

 

Sinolinding has vowed to continue his duties in the regional government, stating that he will not be cowed by acts of intimidation.  He has called upon authorities to expedite the investigation and bring the perpetrator to justice.
