COTABATO CITY – The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MBHTE-BARMM) continues to prioritize the improvement of education infrastructure across the region, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to providing accessible and quality education for all Bangsamoro learners.

The ministry recently held several groundbreaking and turnover ceremonies for new school facilities, highlighting its dedication to creating conducive learning environments and expanding educational opportunities.

On October 17, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the installation of a fence and gate at the Bangsamoro Kulliyyah for Islamic Studies (formerly Regional Madrasah Graduate Academy) in Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur. Funded under GAAB 2023 with a total amount of P4,763,286, this project aims to enhance the security and accessibility of the academy, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for its students.

Meanwhile, on October 16, a turnover ceremony took place for a new school building at Pebpoloan High School in Barangay Pebpoloan, Carmen, SGA-BARMM. Funded under GAAB 2022 with a total amount of P4,206,773.60, the new building will provide students with improved facilities and a conducive learning environment.

On October 14th, the MBHTE held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of two one-story, two-classroom buildings at Kayaga Elementary School in Pandag town and Tamar Elementary School in Barangay Tamar, Talayan town in Maguindanao del Sur. These projects, funded under GAAB 2024 with a total amount of P10,163,179.73, will provide much-needed additional classrooms for students in these communities.

These new buildings are part of the ongoing efforts of the MBHTE to provide accessible education, ensuring that no Bangsamoro learner will be left behind.
